Shengcai Tan
TAN Shengcai graduated from the Anhui University Law School and obtained his Legal Profession Qualification Certificate in 1988. He joined the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines and Health Products (CCCMHPIE) in 1994. Over the years, he has served as Director of the Department of Membership , Director of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Director of the Department of Law Affairs and Strategic Planning, Deputy Secretary-General, and Secretary-General. He currently serves as Vice President and Secretary-General of CCCMHPIE.
Mr. TAN has long been engaged in coordinating and supporting the import and export of medicines and health products. As an expert, he has participated in the evaluation of major projects and research programs organized by several government authorities, including the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Finance, and the former China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA).
He has published numerous in-depth industry analysis articles in professional publications such as China Pharmaceutical Business and China Medical News. Mr. TAN also regularly participates in foreign trade analysis meetings organized by the Ministry of Commerce and NDRC, and has developed extensive knowledge of enterprises, products, markets, as well as regulatory and policy developments in the medicines and health products sector.
Guiying Li
Ms LI focuses on industry development in the nutrition and health sector, as well as domestic and international policies and regulations. She has led and participated in several research projects commissioned by China’s Ministry of Commerce and oversees the work of the Dietary Supplement Committee.
Ms LI is the lead author of the China Dietary Supplements Industry Development Report and has published dozens of professional articles in leading industry publications, including China Pharmaceutical Business and China Medical News.
Shuo Zhao
Mr. ZHAO has long been engaged in research on domestic and international food standards and regulations, laying a strong foundation in regulatory analysis and interpretation.
He has provided regulatory consulting services to a number of well-known Chinese food enterprises, gaining extensive industry experience. ZHAO has also developed substantial expertise in compliance management for health foods (dietary supplements) and food contact materials and articles in both domestic and international markets.
In addition, he has led multiple research projects commissioned by food regulatory authorities and large enterprises, focusing on international food regulatory systems and policies.
Yunhai Ling
Park Ling has extensive work experience in government affairs, policies and regulations. Over his 20+ year career, he has held positions at well-known multinational corporations including Danone, Nestlé and Penfolds, witnessing the rapid development of foreign-invested enterprises in an open China. Focusing on national policies, industry regulations and product standards, he has worked closely with policymakers, regulatory professionals and enterprise representatives to jointly drive industry development. In addition, he previously worked for years in a government department in Shanghai.
Park Ling firmly believes in the "Naturopath" philosophy advocated by Blackmores and actively helps people foster a positive nutrition and health mindset through his own practice.
Petter M. Johannessen
Petter M. Johannessen joined IFFO in September 2018 as Director General. Johannessen was previously Global Business Director for Risk Management and Sourcing at Cargill Aqua Nutrition and before that Supply Chain Director and Global Sourcing and Purchasing lead at EWOS Group. He has more than 20 years of experience from executive positions within SCM and material sourcing as well as strategic management support and improvement project design for global industry companies.
Enrico Bachis
Enrico Bachis joined IFFO in 2009 as Business and Information Manager and was then promoted to Market Research Director in 2017. He is responsible for the market intelligence produced by IFFO also representing the industry within the working group on agri-commodities of OECD-FAO. Enrico graduated from Cagliari University in Sardinia with a Political Science degree before obtaining an MSc in Financial Economics and a PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham (UK).
Jorge Alejandro Risi Mussio
Lawyer graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), with over 20 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from PUCP.
Began his career as a legal advisor at the Ministry of Production, gaining direct experience in fisheries regulation and public policy. Subsequently held senior legal advisory roles in key government institutions, including Head of the Legal Advisory Office at CEPLAN, Senior Advisor to the Vice Ministry of Tourism, and Director of the General Legal Advisory Office at the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism.
Since 2013, serves as General Manager of the National Fisheries Society, the leading industry association representing Peru’s main fishing companies. He is also a member of the Governance Committee of MarinTrust and has served on the boards of IPAE, FONCOPES, and the National Water Authority (ANA).
Francisco Ovalle
Francisco Ovalle, his background is Commercial Engineer at Universidad de Los Andes in Chile, and Master of International Business at The University of Melbourne, Australia. Six years of experience in the Investment Banking industry, 2 years in the Fertilizer industry and 14 years already at the fisheries industry in Orizon S.A. and Nutrisco S.A., a company belonging to Empresas Copec Group, one of the largest business conglomerates in South America.

Joseph John serves as the Head of Strategy and Communications and the CEO for their Refined Oils division, where he focuses on supporting the group’s steady growth within the marine ingredients industry. By studying the interaction between global trends and domestic market dynamics, Joseph bridges market intelligence with the group’s operational strategy to navigate shifting trade conditions and sustainability standards.
He takes a collaborative approach to strategy, prioritizing long-term stability and transparent stakeholder engagement over short-term trends. Maggie Xu
Maggie joined IFFO in October 2011 as the China Manager and was then promoted to China Director in 2013. She was previously a Trade Commissioner responsible for fish, seafood, meat and processed food and beverage products at the Embassy of Canada to the P. R. China for ten years. Maggie has a B.A. degree in English language and completed a summer school jointly given by London School of Economics and Peking University on international finance.

Nicola Clark
Dr. Nicola Clark is the Impacts Manager at MarinTrust, a third-party business-to-business certification scheme for responsible marine ingredient sourcing and production. In this role, she oversees and manages the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) system, ensuring the programme's impacts align with the company's strategy and guides the development of the standards. Additionally, she leads the MarinTrust Improver Programme, coordinating with industry-led Fishery Improvement Projects (FIPs) to enhance small pelagic fisheries that contribute to the seafood supply chain.
Nicola graduated from the University of Leicester in 2010 with a Master's in Geology and earned her PhD in Geology in 2014. Following a postdoctoral research position at Nagoya University in Japan, she joined MarinTrust (then known as IFFO RS) in 2017 as the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Coordinator. She transitioned to the role of Impacts Manager in 2019.
Aldo Bernasconi
Aldo Bernasconi is the VP of Data Science for the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED). His responsibilities include coordinating the collection, analysis, and dissemination of information relevant to omega-3 markets, the development of GOED’s Clinical Study Database, and scientific research on the role of omega-3 fatty acids in health. He holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of Utah.
Zhaogang Jiang
After graduating from university in 1996, he has been engaged in the fishmeal trade, with nearly 30 years of professional experience. He previously served as CEO of China Feed Online and General Manager of Dalian Dragon Gate International Trade Co. Ltd. He joined Evergreen Group in 2020 and is currently President of Evergreen International Trade (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., responsible for the procurement and trade of imported animal protein raw materials for Evergreen.
