Sustainability to lead the debate at IFFO’s October Webinar (20-21 October)

As the seafood industry faces times of rapid change, IFFO’s October Webinar will look at how the marine ingredients industry is fulfilling its promise of sustainability through predictable volumes, unmatched quality and adaptive fish stock management practices.

The webinar will feature two days of online sessions (Opening session, Market Forum 1 and 2, Technical Forum), giving the latest insights on the global fishmeal and fish oil markets, in-depth country presentations and new research insights.

The leadership panel will aim to answer the crucial question of how marine ingredients’ contribution can shape the future of seafood. Chaired by Drew Cherry (Intrafish), panellists will include Anne Mette Bæk (IFFO President), Manuel Barange (FAO), Ray Hilborn (University of Washington), Dave Martin (Sustainable Fisheries Partnership), Melanie Siggs (Global Aquaculture Alliance), Libby Woodhatch (MarinTrust) and Mads Martinsen (Skretting).

Petter M. Johannessen, IFFO Director General, said:

After an unprecedented year, this event will bring together industry leaders and key stakeholders from across the globe, showing our current role in global food security and how to continue to drive a sustainable future.”
