JOURNEY TO CUSCO, SACRED VALLEY & MACHU PICCHU 

4 Days

Cusco, located at 3,400m (11,150ft.) in the Andes Mountains, was the heartland of the Incan Empire. The city blends ancient Andean cultures with Spanish colonial splendor. Visit nearby Inca citadels and temples like “Qorikancha” or “Saqsaywaman”, or admire the colonial mansions, balconies, and churches throughout the city. As you stroll along the cobblestone streets, you can appreciate the colorful textiles, handicrafts, and art galleries. From Cusco, deepen your experience and adventure out to the Sacred Valley and to Machu Picchu.

 

JOURNEY TO PARACAS AND THE NAZCA LINES

3 Days

Paracas is a coastal village located south of Lima. The name “Paracas” derives from a culture that lived in the peninsula between 900 and 200 B.C. It is renowned for its climate, beautiful beaches, and rich marine wildlife and ecosystems. By taking a boat ride to the Ballestas Islands, you can observe migratory birds such as Peruvian Boobies, Cormorants, pelicans, and Humboldt Penguins as well as a colony of sea lions. You can Also enjoy an optional tour to the famous Nasca Lines: gigantic animal and plant geoglyphs etched in the desert. From a birds’-eye-view, you can identify shapes of a spider, monkey, hummingbird and condor that can reach a length up to 370m (1,200ft. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994, the Nasca culture’s geoglyphs are a mystery yet to be fully understood.

 

PUERTO MALDONADO EXPERIENCE

4 Days

Puerto Maldonado is the capital of the Madre de Dios region in the Peruvian Amazon. At the confluence of the Tambopata and Madre de Dios Rivers, it now has many protected parks and natural reserves. Its beautiful landscapes and virgin rainforest hide an incredible biodiversity with unique fauna and flora. There is no doubt that Puerto Maldonado will allow travelers to see, feel, and hear the Amazon first hand.

  • The tours have different change and cancellation conditions which will be confirmed by SAT when you contact them. Please read them properly before booking.
  • Minimum numbers are required for each tour to go ahead and South American Tours Peru will coordinate this.
